2011: the year of quality

Richard Petit et Céline Guirao

What a busy year for our planet, for our clients who are working hard to move us all towards a more balanced future and for ourselves at messaggio.

Indeed, 2010 was a major year for messaggio. We formed new partnerships, produced major output for leading clients, created two new companies and moved our head office after almost twenty years in the same location. Our president attended the Global Compact leader's summit in New York and helped launch the World Urban Campaign at the closing ceremony of the World Urban Forum in Rio de Janeiro. We signed two MOUs, one with UN-Habitat for the World Urban Campaign and the other with Geneva University Hospitals for the Geneva Health Forum. Our causing change company forged a new alliance with the Information for Change Initiative to produce change media in Africa. Our new brochure and mondocalendar also came out and was met with great praise.

But there were also some things we did not do well last year and that's what 2011 is going to be about. We are going to focus focus focus on customer service and quality control. We want messaggio to be known for how well it communicates with its clients, delivers on time and on budget and exceeds quality expectations. Clearly, from a business standpoint, our existing client base is our most precious asset and we intend to invest heavily.

As you can imagine, we have a plan.

First and foremost, we are readying the launch of Obélix. After three years of development, ourmessaggio application for management and administration will help our staff follow projects flawlessly. Obélix will even let our clients follow their project's progress. We have also upgraded our automated helpdesk to ensure management supervision on all tickets. There's more. We are pleased that 2010 was the year we hired Céline Guirao as our flow manager. Her job is to oversee the production process in messaggio companies.

As for me, my goal is to provide our clients with the guarantee that as executive vice president responsible for operations, I will watch over every single job as though each job was a make or break for our companies. I am obsessed with producing the most amazing films, websites, analyses, strategies, fundraising campaigns, brochures or campaign tools for all our dedicated United Nations, government and civil society clients. Superior creativity or concept development are nothing without exceptional production technique, rigor and process.

If you have read this far, you probably realize that we are committed to our clients; this year more than ever, and I expect you to make me accountable for my promises. If you have a problem with a job, I am the one who has to make sure it's fixed and that it never happens again. With the help of Céline Guirao who is our new messaggio flow manager, our account executives, admin staff and all our other production, technical and artistic staff, expect our relationship throughout 2011 to be easy, efficient and effective.

I wish to close by taking this opportunity, on behalf of myself, our team and our president, to wish all our clients and all those working in the public interest great success as we all continue to tackle clear and present challenges worldwide. Yes, let's continue causing change together.
